I was skeptical at first, but it ended up being a great purchase. If your not into assembling things yourself, you might want to hire someone to put it together, but its well worth it. I keep all my baking supplies inside and its great to work on.

Love the self opening garbage can. I walk over to it with hands full and it opens up for me! Keeps the dog out, garbage in. Great find!
It’s such a convenience to be able to open the lid without using my foot on a pedal or using my hand to lift the lid. The odors are kept inside the trash can, and the beautiful stainless steel exterior looks sanitary. The regular bags we bought for our old trash can fit with space to spare. Thank you Amazon for selling this product at a fraction of other listed prices. It arrived in less than the predicted shipping time.
Well, I bought the first one in 2006 and it was wonderful, at the time I was single and was a nicety for bachelor pad. Since then, I got married and now have a child. Every person that comes into the house are wondered by the trashcan and always ask us where to get it, especially if someone spends the night and realizes how convenient it is. The stainless steel finish with the nice black cap looks appealing and certainly conceals the fact that is it indeed a trash can. The lid is made in such a way that it holds smells from getting out. For example, if you cook chicken one evening and the trash can was not full, you would discard the tray that it comes in and a couple days later, every time you open the can, a bad smell would come out from that tray however the smell would not be detectable otherwise.
Back to why we bought a second trash can; it became a sort of attraction for our little one to the point where she would trigger it and then try to hold the lid down. She did it enough times and eventually so hard that she broke off one of the gears. Now, this happened two months ago, 4+ years after the initial purchase and with tons of use. and over 6 months of her abuse.
Now that we have the second one, I have managed to fix (glue) the gear from the first one and it makes a NICE trash can in my garage!
I may add that the power supply is really not needed. These cans take 4 “D” batteries and they last at least two years in there with constant use (20 – 30 times a day). Using batteries makes it standalone and with no cords hanging from it.
I use these trash cans for storing my dry cat & dog food. They work great! I love that the cover opens automatically especially when your hands are full with scoops & bowls. My 2 & 4 year old nieces haven’t figured out why the cover opens with no hands. The only draw back is that there is no liner.
I purchased this faucet as part of a kitchen remodel. My contractor used his sub for the plumbing work. I came home to the faucet installed, looked great. However, when touching the faucet (gooseneck) the water did not come on. When I touched the Hot/Cold wand, it did. I called the contractor who told me he and the plumber “were there for 1.5 hours” trying to figure it out. He said the installation was correct, that his plumber had “installed about 50 of these same faucets”. So his diagnosis was a DEFECTIVE FAUCET and his plumber would come back, remove it, and then I send it back to Amazon for replacement. I thought wow…what a hassle.
So I began to trouble-shoot it with the help pf [...]. Their customer service was AWESOME. They spent 15 minutes on the phone with me, asked the right questions and knew what to look for. He then showed me videos on their website of various stages of installation! I become an expert on this faucet within 20 minutes.
So after looking upwards from the cabinet, I found the problem. A plastic washer to separate the metal under mount sink was missing. I could clearly see that it was not part of the final install. Delta sent me a little repair kit at no charge via UPS, I had it in 10 days. But before that, I went to my local Ace Hardware and bought a black 2 inch diameter washer and installed it myself. IT WORKED!
The problem was that the metal faucet was GROUNDING OUT on the metal sink. All because of a 5 cent plastic washer…..go figure.
The installation instructions on this faucet is thorough. Too thorough in my opinion. The one thing missing is “what’s in the box”. Perhaps that would have pointed out to the plumber the piece that was missing. But of course, with him “installing 50 of the same faucet!!”, who needs installation instructions anyhow!!
This faucet is incredible. It looks cool, it works great. I bought it for my wife but must admit, I now love it too!

This faucet is a GREAT idea! I cook a lot and wash my hands repeatedly when doing so. It’s so nice to just touch and go to wash. All around the faucet is well made and installed easily… but here comes “the but”… This feature doubles the cost of the faucet. When using as described, it’s great, but for other normal day to day use, it’s a pain and I get a lot of the false on-off syndrome others have described. Because of this I think the solenoid will have a short life, and I hope they come up with a repair part so I do not have to trash it, when I spend this kind of money I expect it to last forever. Last week I had a pan in the sink that must have got pushed in contact with the faucet and killed the batteries, faucet will NOT work when batteries low. I wish they would have put a manual override such that the faucet worked normal except when you wanted that feature and/or if the automatic solenoid failed. I would highly recommend waiting for this technology to be refined in future versions.
The installation went very well. The directions were thorough and it was installed without any problems. The faucet functions as described. The “touch” feature takes some getting used to as when your hands are really dry it might take a couple touches to activate. Also, the idea of leaving the faucet on all the time is a little unnerving so we only use the “touch” feature if we are going to be at the sink doing something for a multiple on-off cycles. Otherwise, we end up using it just like any other faucet. The sprayer works well and it is very nice having it in the faucet stem. If you have a big pot to fill you can use the “stream” setting to fill the pot next to the sink. A handy feature. All in all, pleased with the faucet. The price on Amazon was about $60 cheaper than the best price at a local plumbing store.
It’s amazing. At first I wasn’t sure but it didn’t take long for me to get used to touching it to turn it on and off. If you cook a lot it’s so cool. Easy install instructions. Cool to show friends and family when they come over.
I use this trash can as a recycle bin in a tall kitchen cabinet. The sensor works OK but you have to pause just a split second while you wait for the lid to open. This can is really good if you have a phobia for touching lids; other than that I cannot recommend this as a main trash can in the kitchen because the automatic lid is gimmicky at best.
The lid opens in less than a second with a quiet whir like a remote controlled toy car and shuts with a thud. It’s a bit on the cheesy robotic side so I wouldn’t put this out in my kitchen as the main trash can (I bought a Simplehuman 13-gallon stainless steel can for that).
My only gripe is the can should have an option of opening well by hand and not relying always on the battery/power source.
This is the best iTouchless I have purchsed. The square style fits nicely in the corner. Good quality, well worth the money. I would recommend this product to anyone!
