This Vacu Vin Stainless Steel Pineapple Easy Slicer is by far one of the best products I have used in the kitchen. I have struggled with other Pineapple slicers and none can touch this product for its ease of operation. The finished pineapple slices are great. I would highly recommend this product to anyone. I have purchased several to use as gifts.

Help answer the question about Slicer Easy
How do I edit torrent files?
I download anime through bittorrent and want to find a way toslice and edit the videos. I've found out that importing avi torrent files into windows movie Slicer Easy maker does not work. All that comes up is an error message. I've downloaded and tried many free video slicers and editors but none of them work the way I wanted. Right now I'm downloading a trial version of Adobe Premiere; will that work? Does anyone know an easier way? I don't quite understand the problem. Does this happen with all bittorrent video files?

I love pineapple, but I hate cutting it. I’ve used this pineapple slicer a couple of times and it works pretty well. the product works like it says, I still make a bit of a mess when cutting the pineapple, but I think the more I use it the less mess I’ll make.

I’ve used this twice now. I wanted to fresh pineapple rings to grill and put on veggie burgers. The first pineapple came out completely mangled. Still good, but no usable rings. It did however get all the pineapple meat out of the pineapple. The second time it used it the pineapple came out in perfect rings just like the picture, but one half of the pineapple had more usable pineapple meat in in, so I cut it in half and ran a knife around the skin. I think the trick is to buy a pineapple on the smaller side (the first one weight 3.5 lb with the top on. I didn’t weigh the second one, but it looked bigger), and to use a lot of muscle while your twisting it (I’m pretty short, so I actually stood on a stool to get more leverage with the second pineapple). You also want to be doing this in a large bowl because lots of juice will come out.

I bought a pineapple yesterday just so I could use this product to see if it really worked. Even though there are no instructions in the box, there are pictures on the side of the box that are self-explanatory. It was easy to use and worked very well! There was no mess and washing the tool was a snap. I’d recommend getting the pack that has three sizes to match any size pineapple. I’m giving it out as gifts. If you’ve ever tried slicing a pineapple by hand, you’ll never do it again after using this slicer.

The slicer works easily and makes the job of coring and slicing a pineapple a cinch, but it does leave a lot of edible pineapple behind.

I love this gadget in the kitchen. Pineapple is one of my favorite fruits but I always hated slicing and coring them. With this gadget I can have a whole pineapple cored, sliced and ready to eat in under 2 minutes! Just love it! It is a must have if you like pineapple.

I think this product is great and a time saver for serving fresh pineapple.
I plan on ordering one for all my children.

This is a good mandolin but jams a bit when doing apples. Overall well worth the price.

the slicer is great for all veggies except for potatoes….it does not slice or make fries with potatoes, I think it’s the blade, it’s not a smooth blade therefore the potato will break

I got this mainly because I have a really small kitchen, didn’t have room any more kitchen gadgets, and didn’t need an expensive steel mandoline for occasional use. I am so impressed with this “inexpensive” model. It’s great! It does what it is designed for. Made quick and fun work of potatoes and onions. The instructions included aren’t the greatest… (what the…) The unit doesn’t unfold easily initially and the knob is a bit stiff until you get the hang of it. Like anything else, don’t force it open; it’s made of a good quality plastic but it’s still plastic. The pusher is comfortable to use. Included is a translucent blade guard that I would suggest setting somewhere safe. I have a feeling I won’t be folding this tool up and putting it away any time soon. I would highly recommend this.

This is hands down the BEST mandolin I’ve ever owned! Super easy to operate with a razor sharp blade that hasn’t dulled in the two years of heavy use I’ve put it through. Bought one for my brother-in-law too and today my other brother-in-law was drooling over it as well. Guess what he’s getting for Christmas? :)

Connor June 22, 2010 at 8:55 am

I bought this slicer specifically because all the other that are similar in function only dice or make sticks. I wanted one that would do slices, because mandolines are a pain and often dangerous. This one works great, but the blades are at least 1/4″ apart, which is actually pretty thick. You won’t be making chips with this one! I wish there were other styles of blade offered.

Jacinto June 22, 2010 at 9:24 pm

On the surface, this looks like the wonder product. It slices! It dices! It’s from Starfrit! Well, looks are deceiving. The insert for the blade does not fit securely enough into the container. Each time you press down and slice something, the whole insert pulls out with the pusher and lid. Each time I had to pry the blade and insert out of the lid and pusher, reinsert it, place the vegetable, push down to slice/dice, then repeat. I finally gave up and switched back to my Nicer Dicer. It may not slice as well, but it works perfectly every time! I would not recommend this Starfrit for purchase.
