I’ve now had pizza grease, soup grease, and microwaveable Indian entree grease on this spatter screen. All of them washed off with water (just run water over it from both sides).

This is the ideal microwave spatter guard.

I have had one of these for about 4 years, I bought it at Walmart. Of course, I went back about a year later to buy more and they didn’t carry them anymore (usual Walmart policy, have a good seller, then stop selling it).

Anyway, I have been searching for these for about 6 months and was so excited when I found them here. The price is higher than Walmart’s was, but they are worth it. They last a long, long time, my original one is still usable, just getting a few little holes in it.

I ordered 5 of these so I have a lifetime supply in case they stop making them. I don’t use anything else in my microwave to cover food, these wash out so easy, just rinse. Even spaghetti sauce doesn’t stain it. Even baked on cheese comes off! You do have to use a bit of soap to wash it for something like that.

You won’t be sorry, buy some for your family, they’ll love ya!

I swear by these shields. When baking a cherry pie, I had used the shield to prevent a burned crust, (forget the part about ’stopping the pie from bubbling over’) but when I removed it with about 15 minutes left to go the filling almost did ‘escape’ from the pie and make a real mess in the oven. It is so lightweight that it will not effect any crust designs. I am using the 9″ on my 9″ pie pans and have no problems at all, the fit is perfect. I would recommend the shields highly.

I am a long time pie baker and usually make at least 20 pies around thanksgiving time. I used to use strips of cloth (old sheets etc) that had been wet and then wrapped around the fluted edge of pies to keep the fluted edge (usually on two crust pies) from getting too brown. But that sometimes ripped the edge off when you removed it. Then I used strips of aluminum foil, but those had trouble staying on. After that I had some disposable aluminum pie shields that someone gave me, but they were for 10″ pies and my pies were 8 or 9″ so I had to fold them down. After using each one many times, they were really cruddy. So when I saw these I thought I would try them. They came through great this thanksgiving and they washed up really well as well, so they should stand up to many uses. My only complaint (hence the 4 stars instead of the 5) is that they do not fit over the fluted edge of a 9″ pie! On a pie, the fluted edge (properly done) is not inside the edge, but sitting ON the edge, so the pie shield needs to be a bit bigger than the size of the pie tin. These are 9 1/4″ so you think this would be fine, right? But, no…if you measure a 9″ pie tin, it is 9″ from the inside. If you measure from edge to edge of the outside, it is closer to 10″. So these shields worked great on my 8″ Marie Callendar pie tins, but did NOT work on my 9″ pie tins. The moral of the story is, you need to order the 10″ size for your 9″ pie plates. I have glass 9″ pie plates and also the wonderful stainless steel pie plates that Amazon sells so inexpensively. Hope this helps.

i was comparing several different brushes to choose from
and thought this was shorter (6 inches long) and would be easy to handle …
(the measurement might have come from another page … )
but the picture shows a brush with a shorter handle here …
what came here were cute pink balls with very short handles (?) (i ordered 3) …
i don’t have any space to keep a ‘ball’ near the sink so i tied a pink ribbon
around the short handle to hang along with other brushes ….

This is a new tool for us. In fact as I write this we haven’t put it to use yet.

I was concerned when ordering about how well the wooden handle was attached. I’m happy to report that I’m satisfied that the attachment is long lasting.

I have wanted a spider for some time and finally got around to purchasing one. The size is perfect for my use. It was received sooner than I anticipated and in good condition. Helen’s Asian Kitchen delivered exactly what was advertised at a great price. I will purchase from them again when I need an item that they sell.
