I had about 10 knives i was about to trash b4 i bought this product and it saved them. I can actually cut tomatoes without destroying them. I love this product. I do have one complaint… I does not work well with serrated edge blades. But it did save my more expensive knives. All pretty darn sharp now! OUCH!

What's the difference between a table knife and a butter Table Knife knife?
I know what I think the difference is, but I just realized some people think otherwise.

This knife is vastly superior to my old Chicago Cutlery chef knife. It mows through everything I put in front of it, posesses plenty of weight without being cumbersome, and is samurai sharp. It will outlive me, most likely.
I always buy Wusthof knives. It think they are awesome. This was a birthday gift for our son and he loves these knive3s also.
Love this knife….second one I bought (first one got stolen) Holds its edge well and is really sharp
My husband just bought me a small Wusthof set for Christmas. We are currently living in our basement and finishing the upstairs so I thiught, “I will just try this knife, but save it for my fancy upstairs kitchen. Oh, no. I own a fairly “nice” Farberware set, but it does not compare. It’s like going back to the stone age. And I can work so fast with my Wusthof! The comparison is like a Porche to a Chevy diesel truck. If you need a new set, but think this is too much, just buy this chef knife, a paring knife, and a bread knife.
Having spent hundreds of dollars over the years on various electric sharpeners that were a pain to use and in my unskilled hands produced dubious results, I was intrigued by this very inexpensive simple looking device on Amazon. But for the reviews, I would have assumed that it could not work.
Was I ever wrong. It is great. A few simple strokes, and dull useless knives suddenly slice through things perfectly. Even roll sausage that always came out a squashed mess now slices into lovely round disks. I am in the process of giving one to everyone I know. It is wonderful when something actually works. A delight.
For once, a knife sharpener that does what it promises — sharpens knives. No fancy gimmicks. Nothing to learn or master. Wish I’d found this years and several sharpeners ago.
I’ve used the expensive sharpeners and, like most people, rarely take the time to keep my knife collection in tiptop shape. The AccuSharp delivers. In minutes you have a kitchen full of razor sharp knives. I also bought their sharpeners for scissors and tools. They work just as well. I do much of the cooking in our house and I HATE dull knives. No more excuses. AccuSharp is the answer.
I have to admit this works excellent with knives both regular and serrated. I initially bought this to try and sharpen my swords which it kind of works on; it’s just that it takes FOREVER and I still haven’t gotten one as sharp as I’d like. However, like I said it does sharpen knives EXCELLENTLY with little effort.
Have about a dozen pieces of this high quality cutlery, and they’ve all performed perfectly over the years. Being stainless, they’re a little more difficult to sharpen than the carbon steel knives, but retain their edge longer. I’m 100% satisfied.
I got this one for my wife at Christmas, and she’s extremely pleased with it. She uses it more than any other knife she has I think. Highly recommended.
Attractive, well designed paring knife. Every cook needs two knives to get by, a chef’s knife and a paring knife. I got this knife after falling in love with the Wüsthof Classic 7-Inch Hollow Edge Santoku Knife. I couldn’t survive in the kitchen without these two knives. This paring knife is ideal for small intricate cutting that a standard chef’s knife is just too large for. If you are looking for a paring knife capable of taking care of those small, precise cutting tasks in the kitchen then this is the knife for you. Given the cost and quality of this knife, you just can’t go wrong with it. You will never need another paring knife.
Pros:
>Handle and design allow for comfortable hold and precise cutting.
>Makes clean, precise cuts.
>Attractive design.
>Durable and stays sharp.
Cons:
>As of now I have no problems with this knife.
I’m doing through a process of elimination, just like Goldilocks. First I bought the Wusthof 4.5-inch utility/paring knife and it was too long as a paring knife, but very useful for many other jobs. Then I bought this 3.5-inch paring knife and it is way too short (3.25″ blade; 3.5″ handle); I can only fit three fingers around the handle, which for me is unusable. So I bought the 4-inch paring knife today and that should be just right.
Still, as with all Wusthof knives, this 3.5-inch model has a thin but stiff Vanadium blade, meaning it will slice through anything quickly and easily. Takes a little extra time to sharpen, but the payoff is that it stays sharp a lot longer than all but my Forschner/Victorinox knives. If you one who has small, childlike hands, this knife is for you. Otherwise, start with the 4-inch blade and save yourself time and money.
Cuts through cheese like a breeze. A little harder to control as far as slice thickness goes, as compared to a wire cheese slicer. A plus is that there is no wire to break!
